Project Description: Production of PPC Applications for 4 hazardous waste treatment facilities in the north of England all resulting in successful permit issue
Client: Waste Recycling Group.
Project Brief
Egniol was commissioned to produce PPC applications and obtain Permits for the WRG Waste treatment facilities at Knostrop, Blackburn Meadows, Ecclesfield and Lillyhall representing over 20% of the UK's hazardous waste treatment capacity
Project Delivery
Drawing on experience with this type of project across industries including the waste management and treatment processes, we were able to offer WRG complete multi-disciplinary management support at every key stage of this project.
In delivering this project, Egniol Limited: - Completed all necessary preparatory work and review of documents.
- Acted as the main point of contact for the Environment Agency and WRG's project manager, attending pre-application meetings to agree the installation boundary and EP-OPRA assessments, as well as clarifying issues raised during the application process.
- Provided monthly summary reports to the WRG Project Manager reviewing works progress and any issues critical to successful permit application.
- Undertook site visits to gather information for completion of the required PPC site report.
- Prepared all application documents including site reports, environmental/habitat assessments, drawings, non-technical summaries, application forms and all associated information reports to support the application.
- Prepared responses required as the result of any Schedule 4 Notification, after review and agreement with WRG.
- Reviewed the draft licence and prepared a formal response to the EA
- Undertook improvement programme work on behalf of WRG following successful issue of all 4 Permits
- Prepared Site Protection and Monitoring plans for the sites
