Contaminated Land

We have considerable and varied experience in the design, implementation and management of desktop studies, ground investigations and remediation of contaminated sites, and provide the following services:

•    Desk studies for the purposes of:
     o    Pre-acquisition due diligence to identify and quantify liabilities
     o    Discharging planning conditions imposed on proposed new development projects
           prior to construction
     o    Investigation and identification of project constraints at an early stage to allow
           risk management and forward planning, particularly in relation to intrusive
           ground investigations
     o    Environmental auditing as part of an asset management programme
• Site inspections
• Design of appropriate investigations to client specifications, e.g. to identify environmental, waste classification and geotechnical constraints
• Groundwater, land gas and air quality monitoring
• Topographical mapping and relative height surveys
• Interpretation of site data, risk assessments and contaminant modelling
• Project management of all stages of the investigation from site work to the delivery of final reports
• Remediation design, management and remediation cost advice
• Waste classification reporting; and
• Validation testing and completion reporting

Egniol also conduct regular geotechnical assessments in conjunction with intrusive environmental investigations to assist clients in reducing costs.
