Implement internal QMS procedures and ensure all designs comply with the company’s internal checking protocols.

Undertake engineering design and project management for a range of civil infrastructure projects including highways and drainage, both adopted and unadopted. 
Liaison with Local Authorities and Drainage bodies, preparing and making section 38/106/278 applications.

Undertake structural design calculations in a variety of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry in accordance with British Standards / Euro Codes to successfully deliver projects for our Clients. You will be required to produce, and coordinate scheme designs then develop them to tender and construction. 
Work closely with other members of the team, in particular structural CAD technicians, in the preparation of working general arrangement and detail drawings. In some instances drafting services will need to be undertaken by structural engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities 
 
The role will involve a combination of site and office-based work, predominantly based around the organisation and reporting of geotechnical and Geoenvironmental investigations, but can include supervision of earthworks, remediation, validation of sites etc. 
Fieldwork supervision of site investigations including clearance of services, site walkovers, soil and rock logging, sampling, foundation inspections, infiltration testing, gas and groundwater monitoring. 
Undertake preparation of factual and interpretive geotechnical and contamination reporting (under guidance of a Senior Engineer). 
In addition to site investigation tasks you may be required to assist in undertaking earthworks supervision, remediation supervision, validation of plots, topographical surveys, check inspection covers, and drainage runs, and undertake visual inspections. 
Undertake design work in accordance with British Standards, Eurocode 7, CIRIA, NHBC etc to successfully deliver projects for our Clients. 
You will be required to produce, and coordinate Site Investigations and reporting including health and safety documentation. 
Work closely with other members of the team, in particular Graduate Engineers and technicians in the preparation of site investigations. 
Undertake coordination with other professionals and contractors as appropriate, and to organise your time to ensure timely delivery of projects.
