As a multi-disciplinary consultancy, we work on projects in a wide range of sectors. Our Structural Engineering Services Team is thriving, and we are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to our team in North Wales and northern England, which is busy supporting a diverse client base across a wide range of structural engineering projects in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

Senior Structural Engineer Bangor, North Wales Our Bangor office offers a unique working environment set in a picturesque lakeside location easily accessible from the A55 and with parking and electric vehicle charging provided. Roles and Responsibilities Undertake structural design calculations in a variety of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry in accordance with British Standards / Euro Codes to successfully deliver projects for our clients. You will be required to produce, and coordinate scheme designs then develop them to tender and construction. Work closely with other members of the team, in particular structural CAD technicians, in the preparation of working general arrangement and detail drawings. In some instances drafting services will need to be undertaken by structural engineers. Undertake coordination with other professionals as appropriate, including Contractors, and organise your time to ensure timely delivery of projects. Collaborative working with other Egniol offices. In addition to design tasks, you may be required to supervise trial hole investigations and undertake visual structural inspections. Liaise with Clients and other members of the design team to ensure designs meet the Client brief, including attendance at design team meetings / site meetings as required. Senior Civil Engineer Bangor, North Wales
Our Bangor office offers a unique working environment set in a picturesque lakeside location easily accessible from the A55 and with parking and electric vehicle charging provided.
Roles and Responsibilities
Undertake engineering design and project management for a range of civil infrastructure projects including highways and drainage, both adopted and unadopted.
Liaison with Local Authorities and Drainage bodies, preparing and making section 38/106/278 applications.
Provision of design and reporting in a multi-disciplinary office environment.
Management and development of client relationships.
Actively engage in business development where appropriate.
Commercial delivery of projects ensuring programme and budgets are met.
Collaborative working with other Egniol offices.
Mentoring of more junior staff.
Skills & knowledge requirements
Design experience in roads and drainage.
Experience in the use of Microdrainage and AutoCAD is essential, with experience of Civil 3D an advantage.
Experience in the design of Sustainable Drainage Solutions is essential, experience of working to Welsh Government guidelines an advantage.
Experience of undertaking FRAs/FCAs including flood modelling.
Experience in managing design teams and production of high quality technical reports.

Senior GeoEnvironmental Engineer Milton Keynes
Our Milton Keynes office located in Canon Harcourt Court which offers landscaped gardens, excellent parking, an onsite cafe, electric vehicle charging points, bicycle racks and is close to Stony Stratford & A5.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible to the Company Directors for the financial, technical and project management control of projects.
Responsible for seeking new business opportunities and growing workload levels from existing and new clients.
Implement internal QMS procedures and ensure all designs comply with the company’s internal checking protocols.
When necessary, develop new QMS procedures to further support the current requirements of the business.
Assist the Company Directors in optimising the overall performance of the business and ensuring the strategic targets of the company are met.
Preparation of fee proposals for new projects.
Undertake coordination with other professionals as appropriate, including contractors.
Liaise with clients and other members of the design team to ensure designs meet the client brief including attendance at design team meetings / site meetings as required.
Mentoring of less experienced members of the Geo-Environmental engineering teams.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
Good knowledge of all relevant British Standards and Design Codes and an understanding of Eurocode 7.
Designs will be produced by hand calculation or using Design Software/Excel as appropriate to the nature and magnitude of the project and to underpin this you will be expected to have a sound grasp of Engineering Principles and/or a good understanding of Contaminated Land Risk Assessment (ideally skilled in both geotechnical and contaminated land).
Excellent IT skills including a basic understanding of AutoCAD and a good understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
Have a sound understanding of software including SlopeW (or similar), OpenGround etc.
QGIS preferred skill
Proficient in foundation design and recommendations, earthworks, slope stability, and contaminated land risk assessment including remediation, DQRA etc. A bias towards geotechnical or contaminated land is likely, however a good knowledge of both disciplines is required.
Full driving licence and use of a car.
Willingness to work on site, including nights away, as needed.
Qualifications
